Big Wing, Small Box!

To paraphrase the great Winston Churchill: “Never in the field of plastic modelling has so much wing been crammed into so small a box by so many different companies”. Both Matchbox, and later Revell, were able to take a plane with a wingspan TWICE that of a Spitfire and fit it into a box smaller than Airfix’s new F.22 Spit! The plane in question, of course, is the RAF’s long-ranging Vickers Wellesley; the kit is the Matchbox 1/72 Wellesley Mk. I. Check out what’s in the box with this Out of Box review of Britain’s long- winged, yet hightly transitional, interwar bomber!
