November is a month often associated with choices. In the United States, the elections are always held in November, and for the rest of us, our choices are often centered around what weight of coat to put on or whether to try and get one more week out of our summer tires or switch, begrudgingly, to snows. Of course, November is now famous for being “Movember”, wherein everyone grows a dirty porn-stache for a good cause.
Well, I wanted to get in on all the choosing action going on too! Of course, I would never offer the Internet Community something as bland as a choice of politicians or facial hair. No, here at the Lagoon, we like to do things a bit off-the-wall. That’s when I got looking at my stack for my next build, and noticed I have a few “sporty” two-doors with trunks. Hmmm… I smell a theme… And then, it hit me:
Let’s celebrate “NOTCHVEMBER”! Let’s make this dreary month a celebration of the two-door sporty sedan! Let’s have everyone’s opinions be heard on the most pressing of topics: Which of my notchbacks should I build next?
The contenders are all shown below, in real-life chronological order. These cars span over 2 decades of motoring’s finest, or not so finest, attempts to make the “three box” design sporty. So, which one will it be? review your choices and vote in the poll below! The winner will be the next car I start!

Our oldest contender is the Citation X-11. It will be built not as the 1980 seen here, but as an ’82+ model.

Chevy’s next attempt at a two-door sedan sporster. The GTU is a fairly rare take on the ubiquitous Beretta.
NOTE: Any winning car will be built STOCK. There will be NO Lowriders, turbo customs or other lame bastardizations of these kits. We’re looking right down the barrel of pure Notchback awesomeness here, folks!
