Now, it’s not abnormal for me to bring home the “weirdo” kits, is it? It is a little bit less normal for me to get quite so many Japanese kits, both in subject and maker, all at once, though. This is doubly true when it’s airplanes we’re talking about, not Mobile Suits or other mecha. Still it can and does happen, and on a few recent raids to a local shop I was able to acquire a goodly amount of Japanese kits.
It should be no surprise that a lot of them float, and that many of them are old chestnuts! I love classic Japanese kits as much as classic Matchbox kits, so I scooped up a lot of what I saw. there were a few stragglers from Europe, too, so I tossed them in as well. Check out my Japanese Airplane Score on the Scores and Collections page, and get ready to run the gamut form amazing to abhorrent. Oh, and don’t forget to vote for your favourite!
