Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s always something that pops up to amaze you and drive you to continue learning. For me, that’s an interesting feeling, since I was pretty sure I was familiar with pretty much all of Japan’s considerable stable of flying boats and seaplanes. However, just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, what did I find but a plane I’d never heard of!
As it turns out, the E11A “Laura” was a very specialized aircraft build in very low numbers before WWII. As a result, it doesn’t really capture the imagination like the Zero or Hyabusa. However, this little boat did serve during the conflict, and it’s really something unique to see kitted up.
Since it won the poll as what kit most people wanted to see reviewed first, you can now check out the Fujimi 1/72 E11A “Laura”. To learn more about this little boat, and to see what will likely be the best kit of it to ever been produced.you can stop by the Out of Box Page too.
