Seamaster 052
-
- Yikes! This kit IS a true retro experience, right from the loosely packaged parts to the terrible plastic.
-
- Uhhhhh… yeah… So, see there is a little bit of a warpage issue on this one. It’s not so much that the parts don’t fit together, it’s just more of a “they don’t ever meet” kind of thing…
-
- Here you can see the two main bulges on the aircraft’s back. They are largely sanded and shaped by this point.
-
- This view also highlights just how bad the fit is on the Seamaster. Look at the amount of putty at the wing/fuselage junction!
-
- Here’s the midships ELINT bulge and one of the wing seams. You can see the great fit of this thing from here.
-
- Here you can see the white paint carried on into the intake openings, but not any farther along the wings. Note the “Danger Jet Intake” decals as well!
-
- Here you can see the highly modified tail contours with the new radome. Also, the new fin-tip fairing radome and TA tailcode are plainly visible.
-
- Down low and flat out… Was this a view (minus the stand, of course!) that many Chinese coastal fishing vessels saw during the 1970’s? We may never know…
