I can hardly believe it, but it has been 10 big years since the I first posted here on the Sprue Lagoon. It was on Remembrance Day, 2012, that I came home from the annual ceremony at the downtown cenotaph and posted my first article, the Matchbox Mirage III B-2 (RV), which was followed the next day by my first car kit, the 1/32 Monogram Ford EXP! It seems like forever since then, and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support of this site.
I don’t make any money off this site – I just do it for fun! The great part is that I’ve gotten the chance to know a lot of awesome people along the way, and have learned as much, if not more, than I’ve taught!
I always try to make my articles a bit different, give some context and have some fun, too. It has meant a lot to me that people have commented to me that they like my site and my style. It can take a while to prepare an article, and it is rewarding to know that people out there enjoy them and can see the effort I put in.
Over the years, the two most popular things on this site have been the Academy 1/72 Ju-87G Panzerknacker and the Marui 1/35 Mercedes G4. I’ve also been amazed that the Stargazer Gundam has been a perrenial favourite, and since I have a personal attachment to it, I am always heartened to see that.
So, in short, a giant thank you to all those of you who spend your time here with me at the Lagoon!
Here’s to a few more weird and wild decades!
You are one of my favourites bloggers Adam. Happy 10th anniversary.
Merci beaucoup, mon ami!
Coming from someone as accomplished at what they do as you are, that is a great compliment!
That’s quite a compliment coming from you Adam.
